I very strongly prefer not to use my TV speakers, considering I already have a great USB system, and if I can no longer record audio into the Avid because the Decklink takes over, then I’m out of business.Get the world’s smallest 3G-SDI and HDMI video playback from your Thunderbolt 3 laptop or desktop computer! UltraStudio Monitor 3G supports broadcast quality 10 bit professional SDI and HDMI monitoring from popular editing software such as DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro X, Media Composer and Adobe Premiere Pro CC, plus high end broadcast graphics and titling systems. Likewise, when I go to the Audio Capture tool in the Avid, the only input choice is the Deck Link card (which of course doesn’t actually handle audio input.) I have selected the Mbox for input and output in my system preferences, but it has no impact on the Avid - I can only monitor sound through the HDTV. Which leaves me with the lingering question, which is how can I work with audio audio through my Mbox while using the DeckLink mini monitor for video?Īs discussed, the Decklink Mini Monitor seems to fully take over sound, both input and output, with no way to change this, and I can’t really imagine working this way. I currently have 14 megs of RAM and am putting 8 more in this afternoon any other suggestions for performance improvement are welcome. I still have the Avid outputting 23.97fps and it seems to be working, though it’s a little skippy at times. I tried using a shorter HDMI cable and it worked! The old cable has worked fine with other apps, but a short one did get me finally going with video on the Decklink. They also told me I could still use my USB Mbox to monitor audio by simply selecting it in System Preferences, but this doesn't seem to be working either. Note that I wrote to Black Magic before I bought the card, and they assured me it would work on my system. But with my newer monitor, I have yet to see any signal at all. I also have an older 720p monitor, and when I plug into the HDMI port on that one, I get a very garbled image from Avid, with the colors way off, but with sound, and at least I know it’s seeing the Black Magic card and outputting something, unusable as it is. The system report sees the Decklink card in the PCI slot, and acknowledges that the driver is installed. ![]() The monitor I want to use for video monitoring, into which I have plugged the HDMI cable from the Decklink device, is an HP 2511x, native resolution 1920 x 1080 60Hz. Mid 2010 Mac Pro running Yosemite 10.10.5Īpple Cinema Display, 23” (1920x1200) for main computer monitor. I have installed the driver that came with the device it’s 10.4.2. Whether I’m trying to export video from my Avid timeline, or from Blackmagic Media Express, the monitor gives me an error message, INPUT SIGNAL OUT OF RANGE, CHANGE SETTINGS TO 1920 X 1080 - 60HZ. ![]() So I’ve purchased and installed the Decklink Mini Monitor card on my system, and I can’t get it to work.
